Welcome to the Holy Land of MONOZUKURI. The Echizen area where Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture is located, is one of the country's best "manufacturing cities." 14: 00/14: 40 Cup Wiping Lacquer Experience Workshop by Urushi Ryodo
Only for those with workshops
Please pick up the cup wooden area and wipe it and experience the lacquer lacquer. I would like you to feel the lacquerware close by while talking about the history, technique and care of lacquerware.

Sekisaka Lacquerware Co., Ltd. (SEKISAKA) Tsunhiro Sekkusa
Born in 1980 in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture. Graduated DESIGN ACADEMY EINDHOVEN in the Netherlands. Upon turning to Fukui Prefecture to succeed her family business in 2014 after working at Tokyo design office. It is the twelfth generation of the Sekisaka lacquerware that lasts 300 years. Director of own brand "SEKISAKA". Also serve as director and buyer of directly managed "ataW".
